Charles III

Charles J. Ambrose III, age 66, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Bell Tower Residence. He was born October 14, 1947 in Merrill to the late Charles and Mildred (Rusch) Ambrose. Chuck attended Merrill High School. He worked at Northern Door as a general laborer and Wisconsin Box Co. In his younger years Chuck was a CB radio enthusiast. He spent all his life on the Cranberry Trail at the family mink and dairy farm which is now a tree farm. Chuck helped raise mink with his father for many years. He loved being outdoors, especially taking care of the yard and landscaping. Survivors include his brother: Clark (Betty) Ambrose, Merrill; fiancé: Alice Mertes, Merrill; two nephews: Clark D. (Michele) Ambrose, Nelson, New Zealand, and Alan J. (Michelle) Ambrose. Belleville, WI; and one great niece: Clara Ambrose, Nelson, New Zealand. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, September 29, 2014 at Holy Cross Chapel at Bell Tower. Rev. Joel Danner will officiate. Visitation will be from 9AM until the time of service at Bell Tower. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
