Merrill

Corrine Carol (Kluckman) Sczygelski, age 82, lifelong resident of Merrill, WI, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024 at Pine Crest Nursing Home while under the care of Aspirus Hospice.

Corrine was born on March 22, 1942 to the late Ralph and Gladys (Radloff) Kluckman of rural Merrill. She was the eldest of their three children.

Corrine married the love of her life, Anthony "Tony" Sczygelski on June 20, 1985. Together they created a life of love and happiness which included Tony's children Ann, Connie, Jim, and Mike. Corrine loved country living, all the farm animals, and was well known for her annual garden that increased in size each spring. Corrine was a dedicated and diligent worker and she always put the needs of others first. Corrine had the gift of hospitality and enjoyed welcoming people into her home. Corrine will lovingly be remembered for her faith in God, strong family values, her giving nature, kindness, and nurturing ways. Corrine had a very quick wit and an infectious laugh that would make her beautiful blue eyes sparkle.

Corrine loved to cook and used her skills as a cook at the Rib Lake Nursing Home. Later, Corrine was a waitress at Florina's Supper Club in Rib Lake, WI. Her nurturing and willingness to serve others made her one of the best waitresses! Corrine retired from Hurd Millwork, Merrill, WI.

Corrine enjoyed puzzles, solving word search puzzles, reading, knitting, crocheting, and painting ceramics. For several years Corrine was active in Pine Crest's choir group, bell choir, and took part in plays. Corrine also enjoyed volunteering and folded numerous napkins as well as aided with other small projects. Corrine LOVED Pepsi! She always made sure she had a well-stocked supply on hand and a can nearby to drink!

Corrine is survived by her niece Donna (Ron) Sletten of Elgin, MN. Special extended family: Laura and Scott Prins, Elijah Ackland, Isaiah Ackland, Emma Ackland, Kaleb Prins, Kylee Prins all of Kasson, MN, Rita and Jim Nelson, Clay Nelson, Conner Nelson, all of Ellendale, MN, Paul and Min Westland of Albert Lea, MN, and Jeff and Jill Schultz of Rochester, MN. Her favorite Maine Coon kitty, Olivia and special therapy dog River and JoAnn Milewczyk.

Corrine was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Sczygelski, parents, Ralph and Gladys Kluckman, sister, Janet Kluckman, brother, Daniel Kluckman, and best friend, Sandy Hartsock.

Corrine will be sadly missed but never forgotten; our earthly separation is only temporary and one day we will all be reunited in heaven. What a glorious day that will be!

Donna and Ron wish to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Pine Crest Nursing Home who cared for and loved Corrine as family for the past 10 years, the Pine Crest Activities department for always keeping Corrine well supplied with books, word search puzzles, and various craft projects. JoAnn and River for all of their visits, and Aspirus Hospice for the care given to Corrine and the support given to us. May God bless you all.
