Eileen Deloris Hintz

Eileen Deloris Hintz, age 98, or Merrill, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 7, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1926 in Three Lakes, Wisconsin to the late Antone and Gertrude (Netzel) Karwoski.

Eileen worked at Weinbrenner in Merrill for 35 years until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She loved going for walks around the city, being outside, gardening, reading, and puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Elana Sukow of Wausau, son, Eugene (Jean) Hintz of Tripoli, six grandchildren, one step-grandson, and one step-granddaughter, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Harry Karwoski, sisters, Angeline Piasecki and Kathleen Cannon, half-brother, Alouis “Butch” Yablonski, half-sister, Beatrice Samuelson and grandson Alexander Hintz.

Per Eileen’s wishes, no services will be held. Her body was donated to the UW Wisconsin Body Donor Program.
