Kenneth 'Ken' G. Marth

Kenneth ‘Ken’ G. Marth, age 73, of Merrill, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Aurora Bay Care Hospital, Green Bay. Ken was born on March 15, 1951, to Alfred and Iris (Springer) Marth in Merrill. He married Megan E. McCarthy on December 14, 1984. She preceded him in death on December 15, 2017.

Ken graduated from Merrill High School in 1970. He served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972. He worked at House of Merrill, the Ford garage in Merrill, under different owners and Hurd.

Ken loved dogs and had numerous ones throughout his life, his and Megan’s last one being Trixie. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years, fishing, deer hunting, both bow and rifle, vegetable gardening, and canning what they grew. Ken loved joking around, collecting Lionell trains, the Green Bay Packers, watching football, picking blackberries, campfires and the wildlife in their yard.

Ken is survived by his sisters: Iris Breitenbach, Weston, Kay (David) Bychinski, Wausau and Sharon (Steven) Semling, Whitestown, IN and brother: Terry (Susan) Marth, Merrill. He is further survived by nieces and nephews: Colleen Kemp, Jeff (Molly) Breitenbach, Kris Bychinski, Brenda (Brian) Nichols, Jodi (John) McConnell, Justin Semling, great nieces and nephews and one great great niece, along with many friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Megan, brother: Al ‘Butch’ and brother-in-law: Ben Breitenbach.

Per Ken’s wishes, there will be no visitation. There will be a small graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery, town of Skanawan, Irma, at a later date.
