Peggy Jo-Ann Monti, age 82, of Gleason, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She was born on October 29, 1942, to the late Theodore “Ted” Anthony and Irene (Myska) Leder in Gleason. Peggy graduated from high school and was united in marriage to Jerome Monti on June 23, 1963, in Bloomville at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church.
Peggy enjoyed being a homemaker and raise her children. She had a love for her Lord and Savior Jesus, and she loved singing in the choir and helping with the food, baskets and carnivals. She was caring and embedded in this community. Peggy prayed for those who had a need or just because she was led to be a prayer warrior. She was involved in prayer meetings and traveled on charismatic renewal retreats. Peggy had a deep love for her family and was a caring person. She raised her children to be strong and independent with a foundation and belief in God. Peggy looked forward to having dinner with her sisters, and praying for her brothers. She enjoyed baking and made pies and desserts for nephews, nieces and church functions. Peggy also liked to be able to teach what she had learned. She loved being out planting in her garden and watching the cardinals, as she felt peace and closeness with God there, and her gardens flourished with her prayers. For 82 years, she was loved and gave back that love with her time, prayers and talents – THANK YOU, MOM, WE LOVE YOU!
