Sherryl L. Westfall, 72, of Gleason, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
Sherryl was born February 5, 1952, in Rhinelander, daughter of Connie Bruns. She married Steven Westfall in 1997, he survives. Sherryl worked at the former Hurd Millwork, Merrill for over 20 years. After she retired from Hurd, she took a position with Innovative and was a caregiver for adults with special needs.
Sherryl and Steve enjoyed spending quiet mornings sitting on their porch drinking Folgers coffee. She loved their property in Gleason and the peace and quiet of the country. Sherryl enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants. She had a green thumb and often nursed her daughter’s plants back to health.
Sherryl loved hummingbirds and had collections of hummingbirds and angels. She and Steve enjoyed riding their Harley. Sherryl enjoyed shopping and was obsessed with QVC. She also liked reading magazines, picking strawberries and making jam, and canning. She adored her little great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Westfall of Gleason; children, David Randall of Irma, Gary ‘Tookey’ (Mindy) Randall of Irma, Angela (Cortney Clark) Dupke of Wausau, and Charity Dupke of Merrill; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sandy (David) Baker of Texas and Pennsylvania, Sheila Rogers of Illinois, Diane (Gene) Hegerman of Illinois, Faron Hecklinger (Kim) of Baraboo, and Chris (Mary Lou) Hecklinger of Illinois. Sherryl was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Hecklinger; infant daughter, Linda Randall; sister, Cathy Hecklinger; and brother-in-law, Roy Rogers.
