Susan "Sue" A. Domka

The family of Susan “Sue” A. Domka, age 69, of Wausau, are saddened to announce her death on Monday, February 3, 2025. She was born on January 29, 1956 to the late John and Alice (Kauch) Bouvat in Wausau, WI. Sue attended and graduated from Wausau East High School. She met her soul mate and love of her life, Thomas Domka, and the two were united in marriage on June 26, 1976, in Wausau, WI, a blessed union lasting almost 49 years.

Sue worked at Kolbe & Kolbe Window Manufacturer for the last 30+ years, and then Weinbrenner Shoe Factory for about 5 years. Sue worked alongside her husband, Tom, with their business, Domka Enterprise, where she would help with the landscaping and picking out just the right plants and flowers. She was extremely proud of her grandsons, spending quality time with them and always interested in their next project. Sue enjoyed going to craft shows, scrapbooking and painting her garden gnomes to put beside her beautiful pond at home. Anytime that she could be outdoors, enjoying the peace and beauty of nature, she was. Sue loved watching the wildlife around their home, and would make a point to go fishing every chance she had, as well as taking in a sporting event whenever able. She would rarely go anywhere without her little fur buddy, “Biscuit”, who was by her side at all times! Sue will be missed dearly, but her love and kindness will remain with her family and friends forever.

Sue leaves behind her loving husband: Thomas Domka, son: Richard Domka, daughter: Connie (Loren) Beyersdorff, along with their children: Cody and Tyler Beyersdorff, brother: Dennis (Julie) Bouvat, with his daughter: Lauren (Shawn) Burkhardt, and their son: Bryan, sister-in-law: Julie Bouvat, nieces: Sarah Will McCollum with their two girls and Leah (Chad) Pester with her children, along with many friends that she had made throughout her journey on earth and last, but not least, her best fur buddy, “Biscuit”. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother: Dale Bouvat.

A memorial service for Sue will be held at a later date.

The family of Sue want to express their appreciation and thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital – Cancer Center and the caring and supportive staff at the Aspirus Hospice House. It made Sue’s last days as comfortable and peaceful as possible, thank you.
